We are pleased to announce that Bhutan National Bank (BNB) is presently undergoing a significant upgrade to its Core Banking Infrastructure and Software. This upgrade entails transitioning to the latest version of Oracle Flexcube Core Banking Software. Embracing these cutting-edge technologies marks a pivotal moment for BNB as we endeavor to provide you with advanced banking solutions.
As part of this upgrade, we are implementing changes that will directly impact our customers, notably the modification of account formats. Existing Saving, Current, and OD account formats will be reduced from 13 digits to 9 digits. This adjustment is aimed at improving efficiency and simplicity in managing your accounts. Rest assured, seamless access to your updated account information will be available through our mPay and Internet Banking platforms.
To ensure a smooth transition, we will communicate your updated account numbers via the following channels:
- Your registered email addresses
- Direct access from the BNB website
- BNB contact center
- Walk-in services at your nearest BNB branch office
In order to successfully complete the system migration, we wish to inform all our esteemed customers that the upcoming system migration is scheduled to take place from March 29, 2024, to April 1, 2024. Please take note of the following key points:
- All BNB offices will be closed on March 29, 2024.
- Digital Banking Channels, including mPay, MyPay, ATM, POS, Agency Banking, Bwallet, and Internet Banking will be temporarily suspended from 2:00 PM on March 29th until 9:00 AM on April 1, 2024.
